Student Expectations

Progress is a personal thing but the required competencies for advancing to each belt are established standards within the club and the organization.  A student will not advance unless the instructors have observed the skills and behaviour expected of the new rank.  Learning to honestly judge your own skill is an important life lesson in itself

Students are expected to train with a serious attutiude and with respect to each other.  They are expected to practice the techniques as they are taught and not to act in a disruptive manner

It is an expectation that students will attend some of our local tournaments.  There are valuable lessons and skills that come with participation. No matter what your age is, taking part and representing your club in the various tournaments held by our sister clubs can be a fun and exciting part of your karate training
